Multiple times throughout the year, DCPF works with the Adopt-a-Family organization to support community members in need. In May, the facility participates in the Adopt-a-Mom program. This program supports mothers that are unable to provide all of their children’s needs. Employees have donated everything from the smallest necessities, to infant clothing, to larger items such as strollers, car seats, and activity sets.

During the December holiday season, the facility takes part in the Adopt-a-Family or Adopt-a-Senior programs. In these programs, the facility is matched with an anonymous senior or family. The facility is provided with a brief description of the person and their situation, along with a list of desired items. The staff purchases the items on the list and delivers them to the Adopt-a-Family center in time for the holidays.
